IR Beam sensors offer point-to-point outdoor intrusion detection by utilising two separate devices, a transmitter and a receiver, positioned directly opposite each other. The transmitter consistently emits light towards the receiver. When an object interrupts the detection beam, the receiver promptly switches, triggering an alarm.
OPTEX IR beams can be integrated with existing security systems, such as walls and fences as these are susceptible to climbing. Adding IR beams to the top of the wall or fence helps to eliminate the threat of intrusion.
