PSA67 Requirements for Electronic Security & Access Control

RSPL and Abloy will be running a certified CPD training course on PSA licensing requirements for Electronic Security – Access Control (PSA67 : 2021) on Tuesday the 15th of August at 9.30am.

The PSA67 document has been developed by the PSA for the licensing of contractors in the Access Control sector. It sets out the requirements which contractors are expected to meet and maintain to comply with the licensing regulations of the PSA. This course will cover the standard for the licensing of security service providers and is geared towards installers, security managers, lock centres, and specifiers.

A representative from Abloy will be here at RSPL to cover the majority of standards applicable to door sets from hinges to door selectors in simple to understand chunks. The aim of this course is to make sure you can:

  • Understand the needs of a door from its location within the building and the use that the door is subject to.
  • Recognise “Fire Doors”, particularly now that the Constructions Product Regulations dictate the use of Fire Tested hardware.
  • Understand the escape risks and regulations applicable to public buildings (i.e: non-residential). These standards and their use are explained in detail, ensuring that we only specify compliant solutions.

The Regulatory Reform Order has also changed the specifiers/installers responsibility as well as the end users, making self-assessment of escape requirements mandatory within the workplace.

Course notes will be provided, in the form of “Best Practice Guides”, covering the majority of standards covered, and attendees will be issued a certificate after completion.

All attendees will receive a CPD certificate upon completion.
